CAF "Ol' 927" B-24 NOSE ART
The Commemorative Air Force (specifically B-24 crew chief Gary Austin) contacted me about my interest in designing nose art for the B-24. I never would have guessed that they would also ask me to paint it! I had seen the B-24 as "Diamond Lil" my entire life, and to get to be involved in the restoration was incredible. I enlisted the help of my father, Gary Hill, and friends Sean Cowger and Mike Hede. There was no way I could complete a project of that scope in 3 days by myself.
